Two PhD students from the LHTT, Weronika Majer and Natalia Pstrag, attended the 1st Course on Computational Systems Biology of Cancer, organized by the Curie Institute in Paris on the 24-29.09.2018.
During the course, both students presented a poster and gave a short talk on their respective projects (“MiRNAs as biomarkers in diagnosis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma” and “Molecular and Functional Characterization of TMEM72 and 207 and Their Deregulation in ccRCC”). Furthermore, Natalia Pstrag was awarded for her presentation during the course.
Topics covered during the course included novel methods of cancer genome analysis, tumor heterogeneity and mathematical models that describe cancer evolution and progression, among others.
